The workshop kicked off this morning with a welcome by organizer Thierry Paquet of the University of Rouen, who has been involved in OCR related research for a long time. There is a good mix of attendants here, people from digital library research, OCR specialists, industry like ABBYY and Jouve, language specialists, image scientists… and as a surprise, Microtaks who does the fascinating Digitalkoot project for OCR correction in Finland was added to the program. It promises to be an interesting day. No special hashtag today, just follow us on #impactproject
