Free IMPACT Conference Tickets for Students

5 free tickets available for ‘Guest Bloggers’

If you are a student and would like to attend the IMPACT conference for free – then come and help us by working as a ‘guest blogger’.  On the other hand, if you are not a student, but know someone who is…..please tell them about this offer.

We are aware that it can be difficult and expensive for students to attend large conferences and we want to try and make it a little easier for students studying in the fields of Library and Information Studies, digital humanities, document image processing or language technology to get to this one.

IMPACT is building a small team of five students to work as ‘Guest Bloggers’ at the conference, who in exchange will be given free tickets to this prestigious two-day event.

The guest bloggers will work alongside IMPACT staff to amplify the content of the conference in real-time through IMPACT and other channels including ‘Twitter’, ‘WordPress’, ‘LinkedIn’, ‘Slideshare’, ‘YouTube’ and any other relevant blogs or channels.  Our intention is for the team to amplify as much conference content, as widely and immediately as they can during the event and then follow that up with further evaluative blogs immediately afterwards.

If you are interested in helping us and getting a free ticket in exchange, please contact the project team at: impact(at)kb.nl

Send a short email, telling us the course you are on, your interest in mass digitisation and OCR and your favourite blogsite that you read or post to.

Please email us soon as we will take the first 5 students who contact us with the necessary skills.  I am afraid that IMPACT can only provide free tickets, so all travel and accommodation fees will have to be paid by the students themselves.
