DESCRIPTION:This interactive\, hands-on workshop is a cooperation between two transnational European research infrastructures\, bringing language technology together with Holocaust archives and data. The Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure (CLARIN) develops and supports state-of-the-art language tools and datasets as well as expertise on language technologies. The European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI) provides access to information about dispersed Holocaust archives and supports the Holocaust research community. Both infrastructures aim to empower researchers who tackle the challenges of the digital turn in the humanities and social sciences. Since the Czech node of EHRI is a part of the broader LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ research infrastructure\, Prague is a natural venue for discussing connections and cooperations.

DESCRIPTION:The European Summer School on Artificial Intelligence (ESSAI) is the premier school on Artificial Intelligence in Europe. It is organized every year by the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI) together with the Advanced Course on Artificial Intelligence (ACAI). ESSAI & ACAI 2024 will take place in Athens\, Greece for two weeks (July 15 to July 26\, 2024). It will be organized by the Artificial Intelligence Team of the Dept. of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens\, in collaboration with the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society. ESSAI 2024 will offer many courses covering all areas of Artificial Intelligence and being taught by top experts in the field. Every course will consist of 5 lectures of 90 minutes each spread over one week. The courses will be solicited through an open call for proposals and will be selected by an international program committee. ACAI 2024 will offer invited tutorials (of 2x90min each) on a topic to be announced.

SUMMARY:ESSLLI - 35th EU Summer School in Logic\, Language and Information
DESCRIPTION:The European Summer School in Logic\, Language and Information (ESSLLI) is a yearly recurring event\, which has been organized since 1989. An ESSLLI Summer School provides an interdisciplinary setting in which courses and workshops are offered in logic\, linguistics and computer science. Courses (foundational\, introductory and advanced) and workshops cover a wide variety of topics within three interdisciplinary areas of interest: language and computation\, logic and language\, and logic and computation. In addition to the workshops and courses there are usually four evening lectures\, given by prominent researchers\, on topics that are at the forefront of research in logic\, language and computer science\, also from wider scientific\, historical\, and philosophical perspectives. Its relevance to students of artificial intelligence is evident.

SUMMARY:LCR - Learner Corpus Research Conference
DESCRIPTION:The international conference for Learner Corpus Research (LCR) is organised under the aegis of the Learner Corpus Association\, which brings together researchers\, language instructors and software developers with a common interest in the use of learner corpora for research on second language acquisition\, as well as for the enhancement of language pedagogy and language assessment. \n\n\n\nThe conference takes place every two years\, next one being LCR 2024 held at the University of Tartu (Estonia) at the Institute of Foreign Languages and Cultures and the Institute of Estonian and General Linguistics. \n\n\n\nLCR 2024 in Tartu aims to provide a forum for discussion and presentation of latest research by offering LCA members and other researchers in the field of Learner Corpus research a chance to meet up\, introduce their latest ideas and findings and establish new contacts\, get novel perspectives and find new tools to enhance their research potential\, as well as international cooperation.
