DESCRIPTION:The international conference for Learner Corpus Research (LCR) is organised under the aegis of the Learner Corpus Association\, which brings together researchers\, language instructors and software developers with a common interest in the use of learner corpora for research on second language acquisition\, as well as for the enhancement of language pedagogy and language assessment. \n\n\n\nThe conference takes place every two years\, next one being LCR 2024 held at the University of Tartu (Estonia) at the Institute of Foreign Languages and Cultures and the Institute of Estonian and General Linguistics. \n\n\n\nLCR 2024 in Tartu aims to provide a forum for discussion and presentation of latest research by offering LCA members and other researchers in the field of Learner Corpus research a chance to meet up\, introduce their latest ideas and findings and establish new contacts\, get novel perspectives and find new tools to enhance their research potential\, as well as international cooperation.

DESCRIPTION:Two major international key players in the area of computational linguistics\, the ELRA Language Resources Association (ELRA) and the International Committee on Computational Linguistics (ICCL)\, are joining forces to organize the 2024 Joint International Conference on Computational Linguistics\, Language Resources and Evaluation (LREC-COLING 2024) to be held in Torino (Italy) on 20-25 May\, 2024. \n\n\n\nThe hybrid conference will bring together researchers and practitioners in computational linguistics\, speech\, multimodality\, and natural language processing\, with special attention to evaluation and the development of resources that support work in these areas.
