Building Library Labs Survey

Impact Centre of Competence Events, News

Last September 13 and 14, 2018, The British Library hosted and led a workshop on Library Labs. This event was attended by leading libraries and CH institutions (many of them IMPACT members: the British Library itself, the Fundación Biblioteca virtual Miguel de Cervantes, Koninklijke Bibliotheek, Bibliothèque nationale de France, Berlin State Library, KU Leuven, etc.) with a common interest in advancing digital libraries technology by the implementation of "Labs" in their institutions with the leitmotiv of re-using open data collections.

As part of the outputs of this workshop, the British Library Labs is distributing a survey in order to gather information from as many labs as possible (so far 42 responses have been registered). The survey is available at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/building-library-labs

There is also a mailing list to which you are invited to join if you are interested in the implementation of labs in libraries and GLAM institutions https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/LIBRARYLABS

We are personally looking forward to see the results of the survey, and stay tuned to further outputs of this interesting group of labs.
