What are the Digitisation Days?

The Digitisation Days aim to present an up-to-date vision of the most recent advances in technology for the digitisation of text, to showcase successful experiences in their application and to explore the challenges for the near future of digitisation. It comprises the DATeCH International Conference that is conceived as forum to present, discuss and showcase latest techniques in digitisation and related fields.

BnF and L3i Competition on Post-OCR Text Correction, ICDAR 2017

 

The IMPACT Centre Board member Bibliothèque nationale de France and L3i research lab (University of La Rochelle) are proud to announce that their competition on Post-OCR Text Correction has been accepted by ICDAR 2017 conference (Kyoto, November 10-15). The registration for this competition is open until March 30th.

Breakthrough in archival access: Googling through archives within reach

         

Pilot project Full Automatic Archival Access completed

AMSTERDAM|THE HAGUE|MADRID|NIJMEGEN – The ability to google through records is within reach, concludes the final report of the project Full Automatic Archival Access (FAAA). This project studied the opportunities to use new digital technologies to make paper based archives searchable at document-level. Four out of five words were correctly recognized by OCR- and NER-software.
