The Impact Centre of Competence welcomes its three new members: i2s DigiBook, DIGIBÍS and the Library of the University Library Centre of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulbibliothekszentrum des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen). With these additions, 36 companies and institutions are now part of the Centre of Competence In Digitisation.
The University Library Centre of North Rhine-Westphalia will bring to the Centre 40 years of experience in cooperating with other libraries and institutions.
The two other new members of Impact are private companies: i2s Digibook is a French company specialising in the design, manufacture and marketing of devices and software used by institutions like the National Library of France , the University of Barcelona, and the National Archives of the Czech Republic; and DIGIBÍS is a Spanish software engineering company specialising in software development in the field of information exchange and management on the World Wide Web. Its activity is mainly focused on libraries, archives, museums and documentation centres.
